Le 7e Genre Ciné Club
The Ciné Club that defies the norm
À propos
🎥**Le 7e Genre, which has organized a ciné-club since 2013, is diversifying in 2025 with another ciné-club, Retour à l'écran, again at the Brady, to continue exploring the patrio/matrimony of the 7th art in all its diversity. 🎞️** 🍿The idea for the ciné club came from a personal desire of Anne Delabre, which she had during her student years. Tetu: "At the time, she was working with the Chéries Chéris festival, and a few years earlier had published an essay, Le Cinéma français et l'homosexualité (Editions Danger Public), co-written with Didier Roth-Bettoni, journalist and film historian, and author of L'Homosexualité au cinéma, a 750-page book published in 2007 by La Musardine. At a time when monthly or regular ciné-clubs had more or less disappeared from cinemas in the capital, the journalist felt a void. " Anne Delabre: "LGBT representations - even if they weren't called that at the time - are almost as old as cinema itself. If you think of Charlot and his cross-dressing, we're already playing with the transgression of norms... There were also the "sissies", those very effeminate characters in American silent cinema, or the tomboys of the 1930s.". What does the ciné club do? "It's a ciné-club for heritage films; so we don't try to stick to current events or compete with festivals and previews. However, 'heritage' includes all films that are at least ten years old." 🔥[Join and support 🔥](https://www.helloasso.com/associations/le-7e-genre/adhesions/campagne-d-adhesion-2025-2026)
