The Mutiny

176-178 Rue Saint-Martin, Paris, FR

a committed, feminist place

À propos

**La Mutinerie is a feminist bar by and for chicks, dykes, bies, queers and/or trans people. The place is in danger of closing due to management choices, the Covid, the PGE, and work to bring it up to standard** 1. La Mutinerie is in absolute shit, but it's getting better thanks to the mobilization that led to the success of the first fund-raising campaign, 2. If you want to support us, the first priority is to help us get through the next 3 months by coming to drink with us, with all your girlfriends, your chosen families, your extended circles, your brass bands, your bridge club woke, etc. ... [More info here](https://www.lamutinerie.eu/copie-de-contact) We strive to keep the place alive by making sure it always remains as accessible as possible (low prices, no paid evenings, etc.), while continually trying to improve our working conditions. There is no hierarchical relationship at La Mutinerie, the goodwill and money generated by the bar are collectivized, and decisions (big or small) are all taken by vote. As much as a community party space or a place for political and cultural reflection, La Mutinerie is also a tool for redistributing queer money within the community; notably by collaborating exclusively with queer and/or queer artists and speakers, or by frequently donating 10 to 15% of sales to collectives and associations during support evenings. We hope to make this place more inclusive than what already exists in Paris. We refuse to ignore racism, sexism, transphobia and classism, which exist even within our own communities. We want to create spaces for collective reflection and struggle against these oppressions.
