Espace interassociatif, inaugurated on May 16, 2023 at 22, rue Malher, in the Marais district, is dedicated to mutual aid and support for the most stigmatized LGBTQI+ people, including migrants, victims of violence and transgender people. Located right in the heart of the historic Marais district (central Paris), the space at 22, rue Malher is dedicated to the most vulnerable, most invisible members of the LGBTQI+ minority, those who need the most support: the economically disadvantaged, exiles, racialized people, trans people, HIV-positive people, victims of violence.. The premises, which belong to the City of Paris, will provide a new place of welcome, support and exchange. Seven associations share space, skills and offices: - aRDHIS, association for the recognition of the rights of homosexual and trans people to immigration and residence; - OUTrans, a self-help organization for trans people and the fight against transphobia; - ANKH defends the LGBTQI+ community from Arab countries; - Wassla, an association aiming to create a space for expression, sharing and mutual support for LGBTQI+ people and allies from countries in the Arab world, while remaining open to any nationality or origin. - Espace santé trans, an association promoting the health of transidentitarians in the Paris region; - Le FLIRT - Front de libération transfem, a mutual aid collective of young trans women; The year 2023, in a few figures... 1300 asylum seekers received 14,184 in financial aid for trans women in precarious situations Nearly 200 training and awareness-raising events for professionals (health, asylum, interpreters, etc.) Around 110 drop-in centers (psychology, social work, admin, open access or by appointment) More than 700 individual support sessions (first contact or follow-up), including 534 psychologist interviews Over 300 discussion groups or group workshops Around a hundred festive and cultural events 77.6K subscribers to XY Media 1,800 discussion threads/email exchanges with trans and questioning people 4000 brochures printed
