Danser Nos Vies
Non-gendered Afro-Caribbean two-person dance space for a dance that's just like us
À propos
Danser Nos Vies, a space for transmitting and sharing the passion of Afro-Caribbean two-person dances, in particular Cuban salsa, bachata and kizomba, through technical classes and workshops. It was born of the desire to free bodies to experience dance for two, free from the weight of heteronormativity and its dangers. The Queer Salsa Paris community launched on instagram in 2020 has helped to raise the profile of inclusive Afro-Caribbean dance for two in France, and to build bridges between Parisian queer dancers and internationally renowned queer dancers through group trips to queer masterclasses and festivals abroad. Today, the vocation of Danser Nos Vies is to enable everyone to experience dance in their own way, in alignment with their truth, their victories and their challenges.
